Finding Fraser {+ Giveaway}

Whether you’re a fan of the TV series Outlander or not, I’ve got a book to tell you about that is stirring and humorous with a splash of romance. It’s FINDING FRASER by kc dyer.

As readers, we have all found ourselves falling for a fictional character, and may even have had a book boyfriend (or girlfriend as the case may be). But no book boyfriend compares to Jamie Fraser, Scottish warrior, lover of Claire Beauchamp, and hero of the fan-favorite bestselling Outlander series. The perfect combination of sexy, brooding, and rugged, Jamie speaks to the romantic in us all, and author kc dyer is no exception. Inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s #1 New York Times bestselling Outlander series, dyer has written a novel about one woman’s search for a real-life Jamie Fraser and her own happy ending in FINDING FRASER (Berkley Trade Paperback Original; May 3, 2016; $15).

Thanks to the lovely Ryanne and the good folks at Berkley, I have a copy of FINDING FRASER to giveaway. Please see the end of the post for more details.

In FINDING FRASER, Emma is on the cusp of thirty and in desperate need of a change. After a string of failed relationships, she can admit that no man has ever lived up to her idea of perfection: the fictional Scottish star of romantic fantasies all over the world—James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser.
Her ideal man might be ripped from the pages of a book, but Emma hopes that by making one life-altering decision she may be able to turn fiction into fact. After selling all her worldly possessions, Emma takes off for Scotland with only her burgeoning travel blog to confide in. As she scours the country’s rolling green hills and crumbling castles, Emma discovers that in searching for her own Jamie, she just might find herself.

FINDING FRASER resonates with the fangirl in all of us. Anyone who has ever been swept away by a particular fictional character from a favorite novel, TV show, or film will relate to Emma’s journey. A masterful combination of self-discovery, humor, and sweet romance, dyer’s novel will have readers planning their own Scottish adventure.

kc dyer resides in the wilds of British Columbia in the company of an assortment of mammals, some of them human. She likes to walk in the woods and write books.

Her most recent novel—an Amazon #1 Bestseller in romantic comedy for grown-ups—is FINDING FRASER, first published in 2015, with a new Berkley edition slated for release in May, 2016.

For teens, kc’s most recent work is FACING FIRE, a sequel to the acclaimed novel, A WALK THROUGH A WINDOW, published by Doubleday/Random House. kc is represented by Laura Bradford of Bradford Literary Agency.

  1. I don't know the series. The book sounds fun though.
    And I don't think I have ever had a crush as such on a fictional character. I would have loved to have spent times with the Ents for LOTR though. So much.

  2. I've never had a crush on a book character either. Thought a few comic book superheroes were sexy though.

  3. I can't for the life of me establish if those are female or male legs... :)

  4. I've heard a lot about the show but I've never seen it.

    And those legs are hairy, so it's definitely a guy. Guys are the ones who wear kilts anyway. We even had a friend get married in his Scottish kilt, which was really neat.

  5. I admit I've not seen the show, Mason, but I know exactly what you mean about falling for a fictional character. That's one of the many joys of reading...

  8. It's good to see someone besides Darcy getting all the attention! I've read the first three Outlander books, but don't have Starz for tv. Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. My friend is a tried and true Outlanders fan. All I hear from her is Jamie, Jamie, Jamie. It would be annoying if she wasn't spot on!
