Microfiction Monday

Today I thought I'd try something different and participate in Microfiction Monday hosted by Susan at Stony River Farm.

Susan posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters including spaces and punctuation. You can click on Susan at Stony River Farm to get further instructions. Here's a link that will count your characters for you: Design 215.

Here's this week's photo. Below you will find my first attempt at a 140 character story.

See my kitty? He was the Big Bad Wolf in the woods who tried to scare me when I went to see my Granny. Bad wolf doesn’t scare anyone now. (139 characters)

Drop by Susan's and see her story, as well as others participating.

In addition, be sure to check out the new line-up of authors on the right-hand sidebar to see who is scheduled to guest blog here this month.

On another note, I'd like to say "THANKS" to everyone for the kinds words on yesterday's post. Much appreciated.

Have a great Monday and see you tomorrow.

  3. Adorable story- quite in keeping with the picture prompt.

I'd love to give it a try, but am not sure I can do it in just 140 characters.

  4. I don't know, I have met some cats that could make Big Bad Wolves seem pretty tame. You be careful that cat doesn't morph into Santy Claws between now and Christmas.

  7. Very cute story. Isn't it funny how a 100 people can look at the same picture and results in a 100 different stories.

  10. Love these microfiction stories. Kitty here knows a good thing when she sees it, trading in her wolf get-up for a pampered life!

  17. Telling a story in 140 characters is not as easy as it looks. I really enjoyed your tale. Little Red Riding Hood rocks!
