I do and I received a wonderful surprise earlier this month when I won an amazing Monroe and Main® giveaway from Shelley Zurek, blogger extraordinaire at Still Blonde After All These Years!
First let me tell you a bit about Shelley’s fascinating site. I enjoy going outside the book genre and visiting blogs that feature a vast array of information. Shelley’s site header drew me in the moment I saw it – “Fashion, hairstyles, giveaways, reviews and humor for the slightly vintage baby boomer woman, 45 years and old.” Now that I can relate to.
My prize included a Lulu’s Satchel Bag (in teal), color hoops (yellow), a Diamond Paisley Scarf and a Wide Band Cuff. All the items are amazing.
Here’s a brief description of the bag, “Elegantly curvy in a ‘just enough’ convenient size.” The bag has 2 outside pockets, 2 inside pockets and a center zip, along with a removable adjustable carrying strap. It’s just….WOW!
The photos of the scarf don’t do it justice. The details and texture are so vivid and rich and the teal color is lush. It measures 70 inches by 30 inches and feels incredible against the skin.
A catalog was also include with the items. I feel like a kid looking through a toy catalog every time I browse through the pages featuring gorgeous clothes and accessories. In addition, Monroe and Main® has a Fashion Fit for You blog where they have tons of information on
Monroe and Main® is an industry leader in clothing that fits various body types.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I just had to share my joy of winning with you. Be sure to drop by Still Blond After All These Years and check it out. Are you (or your spouse) a clothes or accessories person? If given a choice, would you pick shoes over handbags or jewelry over scarves and hats?
Wow. That looks like a spectacular win.
ReplyDeleteShoes and handbags are not my thing. Nor scarves and hats. Earrings on the other hand...
E.C., it was a spectacular win. I love hats but don't think they look right on me for some reason. Maybe I just haven't found the right one yet. :)
DeleteCongratulations, Mason!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex.
DeleteCongratulations, Mason! Looks like you won some lovely things! I'm happy for you.
ReplyDeleteMargot, thanks. The items are lovely and I'm thrilled to have won.
DeleteYay! I never win anything, so it always feels good. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, thanks. I know what you mean about not winning. I've entered way more contest than I've ever won. :)
DeleteKaren, thanks. Just keep entering those contests.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the shout out for our fabulous giveaways.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awesome prize, Mason. I'm a purse girl.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. I'll hop on over and take a look.

Lucky you! Great prizes :)
ReplyDeleteI am JEALOUS! Such pretty things. I will go check out the website.
ReplyDeletePurses are great. Haven't bought any in years. They're more expensive now than they were 10 to 15 years ago. I used to buy them at Kohl's, Dillard's, or J. C. Penney. Second choice would be jewelry. Great prize. Haven't won a purse, just tote bags. The last big prize I won was a box of eight detective books.
ReplyDeleteI would pick handbags or scarves,
ReplyDeletePenney
I'd go for the scarves and maybe pins or beads. I rarely wear earrings or fancy rings, and bracelets drive me crazy even though I think they look pretty on other people. I'm using the same purse I've been using for years because it hasn't shown any signs of wear. I bought it at a craft fair a long time ago, and that crafty person apparently doesn't believe in planned obsolescence.
