Author Jill Shalvis Answers Questions, Offers A Giveaway

USA Today bestselling author Jill Shalvis is touring blogdom with her latest release HEAD OVER HEELS, a Lucky Harbor novel, and stops by today to answer some questions, as well as offer a giveaway.

HeadOverHeels-416x143

Here’s a brief synopsis of HEAD OVER HEELS: Breaking rules and breaking hearts……Free-spirited Chloe lives life on the edge. Unlike her soon-to-be married sisters, she isn't ready to settle into a quiet life running their family's newly renovated inn. But soon her love of trouble--and trouble with love-draws the attention of the very stern, very sexy sheriff who'd like nothing better than to tame her wild ways.

Suddenly Chloe can't take a misstep without the sheriff hot on her heels. His rugged swagger and his enigmatic smile are enough to make a girl beg to be handcuffed. For the first time, instead of avoiding the law, Chloe dreams of surrender. Can this rebel find a way to keep the peace with the straitlaced sheriff? Or will Chloe's colorful past keep her from a love that lasts . . . and the safe haven she truly wants in a town called Lucky Harbor?

1540647_215X340Thanks to Jill and Jillian at Grand Central Publishing, I have 3 copies of HEAD OVER HEELS to offer and this time I’m doing the giveaway a bit different. To enter the giveaway just comment on this post between now and 8 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, Dec. 22. Be sure to include your e-mail address if it’s not included in your profile.

Now Jill answers some questions for me.

Mason - What is a typical writing day like for you?

Jill - Crack of dawn, take out the dogs, get the teens up and out, shove Alpha Man out as well, and get to writing. Break for hike and lunch, then get back to writing. Break to help various teenagers with various homework and/or projects, assign dinner to someone else and get to writing… Fall into bed. Wash and repeat.  J

Mason - If you could change places with any of your characters, who would it be and why?

Jill - Oh it would be with Chloe from HEAD OVER HEELS because I covet Sawyer for myself.

Mason - Have any authors (past or present) influenced your writing?

Jill - Too many to name. I am a sponge …

Jill, thanks so much for guest blogging today. Chloe would be a funcover character to swap places with for a bit.

Now for a little background on Jill. She lives in a small town in the Sierras also run by quirky characters. Any resemblance to the quirky characters in her books are, um, mostly coincidental. Look for Jill's bestselling, award-winning books wherever romances are sold.

Visit her website at JillShalvis.com for a complete book list and daily blog detailing her city-girl-living-in-the-mountain adventures. She can also be found on Facebook and Twitter

HEAD OVER HILLS (ISBN: 978-0-446-57163-0) is published by Grand Central Publishing in the genre of fiction, romance. It was published on Dec. 1st in mass market format with 368 pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. What character would you like to change places with for a day and why?

  7. I would love to return to Lucky Harbor! Thanks for the chance to win and fun interview with Jill. When I was young, I always wanted to switch places with Laura Ingalls Wilder, just for a day, to do all that pioneer stuff!
