Chasing Memories On Tour

I’m delighted to be participating in author Tia Silverthorne Bach’s Tribute Books Blog Tour for her latest young adult novel, CHASING MEMORIES, Tala Prophecy Book One.

As part of the tour I’ll share my review of this intriguing story and a bit about the author, as well as telling you about an awesome giveaway.

CHASING MEMORIES by Tia Silverthorne Bach

Chasing_Memories_Final_FOR WEB 5713Starting out at a steady pace, CHASING MEMORIES draws you in then drops out from under you leaving you to search for answers along with the protagonist.

Reagan Cooper and her family are enjoying a typical camping trip in Yellowstone. Sleeping in a separate tent from her parents, Reagan is awaken in the night by a scream. Searching the nearby sleeping bag for her brother, Sam, she doesn’t find him but is attacked from behind. Screaming again Regan wakes to find she’s in a hospital and her brother is missing, believed dead. She and her brother were apparently attacked by a grizzly bear.

When nightmares begin to plaque Reagan, she questions what really happened to her brother and herself. Her dreams are filled with images of a wolf, not a bear. As she tries to find answers, she’s treated as though she’s gone mad. Between her erratic behavior, the psychiatrists and constant medication, Reagan isn’t sure who or what to trust anymore.

Author Tia Silverthorne Bach brings the antics and real-life problems of a teen to life through her protagonist, Reagan. She blends a typical teen’s woes with a touch of paranormal for a spellbinding story. Her other characters are well-developed and add depth to the story.

Bach takes readers on a fantasy trip making it realistic. The story begins with the tragic attack, phases back to life prior to the trip and then back to the results of the attack. The story flows smoothly and at a steady pace. This psychological thriller will hold you captivate as the twists and turns unfold.

While the story answers some questions, be warned it does leave you with a cliffhanger as this is the first book in the author’s new Tala Prophecy Series. Reagan, a lover of paranormal books, finds her life has moved into the paranormal realm.

  1. Mason - This sounds like a really interesting premise for a story. Not being entirely sure what you saw or remember and having to search for answers is a solid plot point, and I give credit to anyone who creates stories that encourage young people to read.

  4. Thanks so much for reviewing Chasing Memories. I love that you mentioned I brought the teens to life. My goal was to mix a troubled teen with the paranormal and not just focus on the paranormal. Thanks again!
