    It happens. I know it happens. And rarely ends well - for anyone except The Hitcher and his clones.

  3. This sounds very suspenseful, Mason. And that 'time is running out' premise can really be effective to keep the pace of a novel going. It certainly makes a person think twice about picking up hitchhikers...
