Once again,
I’m not following my regular routine as I decided to post on Sunday to wish
everyone a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY and sharing some other information.
I hope
everyone is having a great Mother’s Day whether you have children,
grandchildren and/or furry babies. I know during this difficult time it will be
hard for families to celebrate as they normally do, but I hope you have a
chance to at least let your mother know you are thinking of her.
I
received an email last week that I was unable to share due to prior commitments,
so I decided today was still a good day to tell you about it. Did you know that
Thursday, May 7 was National Day of Prayer?
All last
week and this coming week Ellie Claire Gifts (a division of Hachette Book
Group) wants to inundate social media with prayers—for our country, our family,
mentors, our educators, those out of work and those on the front lines, and
more!
#InstaPrayer:
Prayers to Share is a cute little gift book that offers 90 highly
creative prayer prompts that are perfectly sized for sharing on social media.
Want to
pray but have no words? InstaPrayer's colorful prompts are perfect to
post on Instagram and other socials: Read. Pray. Snap. Share.
Sometimes
the hardest part of having a vibrant prayer life is simply getting started. To
help start that conversation in a quirky and non-threatening way, these prompts
from author/artist Kelly Stanley open the door to creativity and are perfect
for sharing on Instagram and other socials. With fun and colorful meme-like
images, you will be encouraged to ask God to shelter someone who is going
through a storm, pray for someone who is full of hot air, pray for the last
person who texted you, and more. Each prayer prompt is designed to get
attention on digital and paper pages alike.
- Pray for someone who crosses paths with you regularly.
- Thank God for a mistake you learned from.
- Pray for someone with an amazing brain.
- Give praise to someone who is doing a great job.
- Pray for someone who seems to have the perfect Instagram life.
- Bite-sized prayer prompts to reignite your prayer life
- Full-color interior design using fun and vibrant colors
- Presentation page for personalization
- Perfect gift for hashtag-loving friend
When
sharing the images if you are praying for a specific person, you may also want
to tag that person to let them know you are praying for them. Use the hashtags
#WhatIPrayToday and #InstaPrayer when using the images to connect with others.
Lastly, I have a question I hope you can help me with. Do you save too many emails in
your Gmail account or do you delete as they come in? I took a close look at my
emails recently and realized I have used 66% of my Gmail space (almost 10 GB of
15).
I have
put emails in folders for each blog post I’ve done since I began blogging. So,
I’ve been trying to delete emails and folders, but it doesn’t seem to be changing
the percentage of use. I looked in the trash folder and found more than 7,000
emails to go along with the more than 5,000 emails in my box. So, I started deleting
the oldest ones in the trash, still no change granted I’ve only deleted about
1,000 so far.
Will it
just take awhile to get the percentage down or do I need to do something differently?
Have you found ‘hey, I have way too many emails in my box’ without realizing
you were saving that many?
Thanks so
much for stopping by today. Remember to enjoy this Mother’s Day! Do you think
the images from #InstaPrayer: Prayers to Share would be good to
share no matter the time of year? Did you see a favorite among these images?
Happy Mothers' Day.
ReplyDeleteI have taken to deleting my emails (other than the ones I want to keep from my ISP's webmail server. I still keep too many though. Way too many.
E.C., I completely understand. I say I'm only going to keep a few emails and before I know it, I've saved 30.
DeleteI keep a lot of my emails, too. Mostly I keep the ones I may need (like receipts) just in case...
ReplyDeleteMargot, I think part of my problem has been keeping emails I think I will look at later (sales type) and never see them again.
DeleteInstaPrayer sounds like what we need right now.
ReplyDeleteAlex, I agree with you. These say so much with such few words.
DeleteAnything that sends more caring and kindness into the world is a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteHave you checked your 'sent' folder? When I needed space on an older system, I deleted that and it worked!
Jemi, you are so right and right now we could use a lot of caring and kindness. I'll have to check my 'sent' folder. I hadn't thought about it, thanks!
DeleteWhat a perfect day for a day of prayer.
ReplyDeleteDiane, I couldn't agree more. It is a perfect day for it.
DeleteHappy Happy Mother's Day!!! Please stay safe and healthy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteCaren, Happy Mother's Day to you as well. Hope all is well and safe with you and your family.
DeleteHi Mason - Mother's Day - is a time to remember our mothers, and to take time out to remember so much.
ReplyDeleteEmails - I have to cull mine ... but I don't have your number - I'm glad to say! Take care - Hilary
