When a friend’s husband dies while Jessica Fletcher is in town visiting, Jessica’s vacation turns into a murder investigation in this latest entry in the long-running USA Today bestselling series.
After traveling to Bethesda for a mystery writers’ conference, Jessica Fletcher decides she’s earned a vacation and takes a train to Columbia, South Carolina, to visit her old college friend Dolores, who has recently married her third husband, Willis Nickens, a wealthy and cutthroat businessman. They’ve moved into an opulent historic home with plenty of space for guests, and Jessica is ready for a week of shopping, gossiping, and relaxing at the grand estate.
But the morning after she arrives, Jessica discovers Willis facedown in the koi pond, and despite what the police think, she’s sure foul play is involved. She hadn’t known Willis long, but it’s clear to her that he didn’t concern himself with making friends. The question isn’t if her friend’s husband was murdered but by whom.

Koi are always hungry. I suspect that they would severely alter the evidence and my wimpy self finds the thought distressing...
ReplyDeleteNo need to worry. I am also a wimp. You will not find the murder scene overly distressing--except for the dead body, of course!! Terrie
DeleteI used to watch that all the time, Mason! This is a great reminder of a fun show. And a koi pond is a very creative touch. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteThe Koi won't tattle! What a great TV series and book series--I'm still watching the show on the Hallmark Channel. Angela Lansbury is awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize there were Jessica Fletcher books! This makes me happy :)
ReplyDeleteMason, thanks so much for hosting me once again!! it is always a delight to be here! Terrie
ReplyDeleteI used to love watching this show on TV. I'll have to check out the series.
ReplyDeleteHi Mason and Terrie - I also occasionally watch a Jessica Fletcher show - they delight in showing us the locations, while the plot twists and turns us - I always enjoy them ... and can think of my aunt and uncle's Koi pond - plenty of room for some gore there! Cheers and good luck - Hilary
