When it comes to music, I love to listen to a lot of different types, but I don’t feel I’m enlighten enough about the subject to do reviews regularly.
However, from time to time I’m
introduced to a singer/songwriter and/or songs that I want to share with you.
Today is just such an occasion.
I’m delighted to tell you about Gary LeVox, former lead singer of Rascal Flatts, who
has just released his first solo EP, ONE ON ONE! The EP even
features a duet with his sweet daughter, Brittany, who is also a
singer/songwriter.

Friday, May 21st, and fuses two of his biggest passions - music and
faith!
When asked about the role God has
played in his musical journey, LeVox said, “I feel like God graced us with a
platform where we can not only touch people’s lives through music, but by being
men of God offstage too.”
“At those times when we are with
fans that are going through something like cancer, it is so wonderful to not
only sing for them but to hold their hand and pray with them,” he explained. “I
want them to know that they have a friend in me. I’m not just some guy on the
stage. I feel like Christ has put me in this position because He knew I could
handle the obligation, which often means taking the time to lift someone up in
prayer.”
My thoughts …...
The EP as a whole is very
appealing and performed with great talent and heart.
When you break it down by tracks,
each one can speak to you on different levels and depths. Several tracks are
fast, upbeat and very moving. Several tracks have a slower, softer type rhythm
that holds your attention and draws you in. Then there is one track that has a
good steady beat where you catch yourself moving with the music as the words
seeps into your soul.
The songs have great meaning and relate to various aspects of life that we deal with daily. The music inspires and leaves you with a lighter feeling.
The EP is out, so I encourage
