Spawning Suspicion
Cozy Mystery
*2nd in Series: (A Seafood Caper Mystery)
The death of island playboy
Curtis Marlin doesn’t register on busy caterer River Holloway’s radar…that is,
until her brother and his girlfriend are arrested for the former athlete’s
murder. Certain of the pair’s innocence, the amateur sleuth sets out to
investigate.
Suspicion on the island spreads
like chocolate sauce when River questions the victim’s teammates. The suspects
don’t appreciate her stirring up trouble, but she won’t let an election-hungry
sheriff make her brother a sacrificial lamb.
But there’s more than murder on
River’s to-do list. A missing groom, catered banquets, and River’s own wedding
plans keep her hopping like a short order cook. And as the cherry on the
sundae, she has a wild kitty to tame.
Under mossy oaks and rustling
palmettoes, fact and fiction blend in a mouthwatering romp of good eatin’ and
yummy recipes.
Spawning Suspicion is the second in Toussaint’s Seafood Capers Mystery Series. It’s available to purchase at Amazon - B&N - Kobo - Apple

Congratulations Maggie - and thank you for pointing me in the direction of what sounds like a heap of fun.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, of course she thinks her brother is innocent. I cannot imagine just how appalling it would be to believe that your relative is guilt of murder...
Me either, Elephant's Child! It happens in the real world sometimes, but not to my cozy sleuth, River Holloway. I hope you will check out Spawning Suspicion and the series!
DeleteFun title and series concept! Congratulations to Maggie!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Elizabeth! I am humbled by the interest in this culinary cozy series.
DeleteI've said it before but cozy mysteries have the best titles.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex. I've been lucky so far in that my publishers have gone with all of my titles. I would love to take full credit for them, but in truth, I often wake up with just the right title in mind.
DeleteOh, I do like the setting for this one! And the premise sounds like a solid one for a mystery. All that and delicious catered food, too! Thanks for sharing, Mason.
ReplyDeleteHi Margot! It's nice to connect with you here. I love writing cozy mysteries. For me it's like reverse engineering a puzzle. Sometimes I surprise myself with whodunnit!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mason/Gary, for hosting Spawning Suspicion on your Thoughts in Progress blog. I am delighted to have this opportunity to interact with your blog followers. Thanks for help spreading the word of my book's release!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun read!
ReplyDeleteHi Mason and Maggie - this sounds like a fun read - and as the others have said ... delightful title - and I imagine a fun read. All the best to you both and your families - Hilary
