Thanks so much for stopping by. Did you watch the Carol Burnett Show or catch it on reruns? If you’re a fan, do you have a favorite skit? I enjoyed the skits they did as Mama’s Family and As the Stomach Turns, but I’d say my favorite of all time was the scene with Carol as Scarlet and Harvey as Rhett. Do you remember which one I’m talking about?
I know the name but have never seen the show. Indeed I am not certain it went to air in Oz.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've always enjoyed Carol Burnett, Mason! She's so very talented, and really broke comedy ground for women. This sounds like a great read, so thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe saw her on The Tonight Show recently. She's still so funny and going strong at 83. I'd definitely picking up this book.
ReplyDeleteI read another book by her. She really fought to get to the top of her profession. I still laugh out loud every time I think of the Gone with the Wind skit with her wearing curtains - curtain rod and all. I can't believe she's 83.
ReplyDeleteAnn
I bet there are a lot of comedic moments in this book!
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds like it would be a riot. :)
ReplyDeleteI was planning to ask for the print version of this for Christmas (getting my hints together early) because I usually prefer to read than listen, but when I saw that Carol did the narration herself, I knew I had to have this one. Thanks for the heads up.
