I’m delighted today to be participating in launch week blitz for one of my favorite authors, Carolyn Brown, who is debuting a new series.

I had the opportunity to not only read the paperback, but also listen to the audio version of this delightful story. Here are my thoughts.

Author Carolyn Brown has the knack for combining hot, sexy cowboys with tender heartwarming scenes to create an entertaining trip to places dreams are made of.

Brown takes readers on an intriguing new adventure in her latest release, WILD COWBOY WAYS, the first installment in her new Lucky Penny Ranch series.

Narrator Chelsea Hatfield does a great job bringing the various characters to life. Her cadence and mannerisms adds depth to this fascinating story.

Cowboy Blake Dawson is looking to shed his wild cowboy reputation and make a go of the ranch he and his brother and cousin bought. He wants the Lucky Penny Ranch to live up to its name, but first it’s going to need a lot of work.

Allie Logan is a top-notch carpenter even if she was a terrible wife (according to her ex). She knows she can have the Lucky Penny Ranch house looking like new in no time. What she’s not sure of is how to handle the sexy cowboy owner who has her thinking about things she’d sworn not to think of anymore.

Brown brings opposites together and stirs up the romance between them with just the right sizzle. The characters are well-developed and likable. Allie is determined and feisty when it comes to her work, but tender and loving with family while showing a vulnerable side when it comes to her femininity. Blake is strong and sexy while dealing with a reputation he’s ready to shed.

The small town atmosphere is inviting even with everyone knowing everyone’s business. The setting is typical of small communities with gossip a hot topic but the residents pulling together when needed.

Brown explores many sides of family life with a heartwarming, sometimes humorous, look at how families deal with issues that involve caring for a loved one losing their memory. With vivid descriptions and an eye for detail, Brown can tug on your heartstrings one moment and have you fanning yourself a short time later.

Brown builds the tension and the attraction as she weaves a sizzling tale of romance and love. You may know where the story is going, but Brown throws in some interesting twists and fun along the way to hold your attention.

WILD COWBOY WAYS is a tantalizing read that flows smoothly and at a steady pace. A plucky female carpenter, a seductive cowboy and a town of zany residents makes this a tale you can’t let go of.
