WATCHING WILLOW WATTS: Launch Party and a Review

* Today is the official launch of WATCHING WILLOW WATTS inWatching-Willow-Watts e-book format. The talented and enterprising Talli Roland, author of WATCHING WILLOW WATTS, has come up with a most unique launch party. Drop by her blog, Talli Roland, to find out more.

For anyone who has ever had a passing interest in the legendary actress Marilyn Monroe, have I got a book recommendation for you.

No WATCHING WILLOW WATTS isn’t about the actress herself, but about how a lovely shop keeper became ‘Marilyn’ and brought life back into her sleepy little village at a high cost to herself.

Willow returns home to Belcherton after her mother’s death to help her father. By day she works behind the counter in his antique shop and spends her nights watching TV. Life, while busy, is quite dull for Willow.

At the village’s annual summer fair, Willow stops by the costume booth manned by her best friend, Paula. With a bit of effort, Paula talks Willow into trying on the Marilyn Monroe costume complete with platinum wig.

When a video of Willow dressed as Marilyn gains notoriety because a ‘Marilyn’ ghost is seen with her, life changes for Willow. The village begins to come to life as people flock to see the new Marilyn. Willow changes her appearance to better fit the role. However, everyone isn’t happy with Willow’s new look. When her former flame, Alex, returns Willow is faced with tough decisions. Does she continue role playing to help the village or does she follow her heart and become the person she wants to be?
