THE SNOWMAN’S REVENGE by Mark Smythe

Remember the old saying, ‘Be careful what you wish for’?61q-Ji4-fkL._SL500_AA300_

Well in Mark Smythe’s THE SNOWMAN’S REVENGE, the snowman should have thought about that.

This is a delightful book that deals with every child’s dream - staying home from school because of snow. The youngsters gather outside playing in the snow and build a snowman. Afterwards they go back inside for hot chocolate.

All by himself, the snowman becomes upset and decides to get back at the children. He sneaks inside while they’re eating. The warmth of the house causes him to change his plans and hide in the freezer until later. That night when the youngsters are snug in their beds, the snowman tries to creep upstairs to scare them. But a snowman and a warm house don’t mix.

Author Mark Smythe has written a humorous story with smooth rhyming verses. Mike Motz has done a wonderful job with the bold and colorful illustrations. THE SNOWMAN’S REVENGE will be a favorite to be read again and again by the whole family. The book is geared for youngsters ages 4 to 8.

  2. Mason - I love it that you also look at children's and YA books as well as books geared for adult. It really helps me understand those genres better :-). And this one does look like a good read for the little folks.
