Author Darlene Josaphe: Self-Help Stress Solutions Series On Tour

It’s a pleasure to be a part of author Darlene Josaphe’s Pump Up Your Book Virtual Book Tour for her Self-Help Stress Solutions Series.

This delightful series is available as eBooks only. It covers 10 areas of stress and gives tips on how to reduce or help manage that daily worry. As part of the tour, I’m sharing my thoughts on 3 of the books and a bit about the author.

Walking sounds more like another chore or a form of exercise. In reality, walking can help reduce your stress levels and is good exercise.

Author Darlene Josaphe explores the many ways in which walking can reduce your stress level. Walking gets you away from the problem area giving you a chance to cool down and get a clear head about the situation. Walking gives you new sights and sounds to ponder, thus taking your mind off the problems you’re stressing over.

Walking also helps you physically, which in turns helps with your stress levels.

Walking a bit each day can help keep stress levels down. It gives you something to look forward to, something just for yourself.

There isn’t a lot of equipment needed to walk so that doesn’t add to your stress level. Find a comfortable pair of walking shoes and set out. Josaphe notes that the benefits of walking will surprise you as you relax and get exercise at the same time.

Having heard aromatherapy mentioned hundreds times when stress51SCaINCVYL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA278_PIkin4,BottomRight,-52,22_AA300_SH20_OU01_ relief was being sought, this seemed like a simply solution. It is a simple solution, but with more layers than I ever imaged.

Author Darlene Josaphe explores the many facets of aromatherapy and its properties for aiding in stress relief. She discusses the various essential oils and how they help reduce different types of stress. She also explains the different forms aromatherapy can come in such as candles, essential oils, incense, sprays and potpourri.

Josaphe gives examples of how to create a stress-free area using various forms of aromatherapy. She also discusses how to create your own oils and what to look for when purchasing these items.

The book itself is relaxing to read as you learn new ways to help relieve your everyday stress through a few simple steps.

Author Darlene Josaphe takes GARDENING FOR STRESS RELIEF one step further by explaining the many benefits the act of gardening provides, as well as the benefits you reap from the task. She notes that by creating a vegetable or herb garden, you not only reduce your stress while gardening, but also improve your overall health by eating healthier items you have grown. If it’s a flower garden you have created, she explains that enjoying the picked flowers continues to reduce your stress.

The book also explains how just the act of creating something from nothing - a beautiful garden from a bare spot of ground - can aid in stress relief. It gives the enjoyment of accomplishment.

Reading through the book will have your fingers itching to dig in the dirt. Whether it’s a small or large portion of ground you prepare for a garden or just a small container garden, the daily task of focusing on tending to those items will relax and revive you.

  1. Walking always reduces stress for me. It also sparks my imagination--I think about the things I see, smell, and feel. Of course, I usually walk on my ranch and have either horses, dogs, or my pride of cats following me. I find doing things outside, in the sun and breeze, help diffuse stress. It might be feeding the animals, getting loving from my horses as I brush them, or just leaning on the fence watching life. It unwinds me.

    Nice set of books Darlene!
