As part of the tour, thanks to the lovely Danielle at Penguin Group, I have a copy of THE CHOCOLATE CLOWN CORPSE to giveaway. Please see the end of the post for more giveaway details. Now for my thoughts on this delightful cozy.
Chocolate and clowns are fun together, but add in a dead body and you have an intriguing cozy murder mystery in THE CHOCOLATE CLOWN CORPSE.
A month after the murder of Moe Davidson, Lee Woodyard is thinking about expanding her chocolate shop, TenHuis Chocolade, into Moe’s former business, Clowning Around, located next door. The property has been listed by the widow and her two stepchildren.
Lee explores the building and discovers the widow unconscious. When things don’t add up, Lee begins to wonder if the man charged with Moe’s murder could be innocent and the real killer still walking the streets of Warner Pier. The town is celebrating Clown Week so Lee has her hands full unmasking the real killer.
Author JoAnn Carl has skillfully combined murder and humor with twists and turns to create a read that’s hard to put down. The small town atmosphere adds flare to this charming story.
The quirky characters are likable and realistic. The humorous dialogue provides laugh-out-loud moments throughout the story. The twists will keep you guessing until the end.
THE CHOCOLATE CLOWN CORPSE is the 14th installment in the Chocoholic Mystery series, but can be read on its own. Tasty chocolate trivia is included as an added bonus.
You don’t have to be a chocoholic to enjoy this tantalizing cozy murder mystery, just a fan of intrigue and mystery.
