Sunday Salon: Murder Your Darlings by J.J. Murphy

The Vicious Circle is meeting for their daily gathering at the Algonquin Round Table.

For the first time Dorothy Parker arrives early. But that’s a bad thing because she finds a dead body under their table.

While waiting for the cops, Dorothy meets aspiring writer William “Billy” Faulkner from Mississippi. Within minutes, Faulkner becomes the prime suspect. Dorothy takes it upon herself to clear his name and find the real killer.

As she begins her detective work, she enlists the help of her fellow writers including Robert Benchley, Alexander Woollcott, and Robert Sherwood. Can they find who killed drama critic Leland Mayflower before one of them becomes the next victim.

MURDER YOUR DARLINGS is set during the Roaring Twenties in New York. Author J.J. Murphy has taken real people, true facts and created a fictitious cozy mystery. For a trip back in time when flappers were fashionable and probation was in force, pick up a copy of MURDER YOUR DARLINGS and be swept away.
