Michele Pawk does a great job narrating GYPPED. She provides the right emotions for each of the characters drawing listeners further into the story. Her distinct differentiation of characters brings the story to life.
It seems Zelda inherited 8 million dollars from an elderly woman in her building she barely knew. Now Zelda enjoys giving back and helping others with her new wealth. However, her father just ran off to Las Vegas and married a woman he’d only known 3 months.
Zelda wants Regan to investigate her new stepmother. She invites Regan to a party she’s hosting at a mansion she won a weekend stay in. As Regan prepares to leave, Zelda falls ill. Regan decides to say unaware a stranger is lying in wait for her at her car.
As Regan begins to investigate for Zelda, she soon learns Zelda’s financial adviser is up to no good and possible the reason Zelda is ill.
The story is fast pace and filled with a few things you may be expecting, but a number of fun and suspenseful twists to catch you off guard. Regan is a fun protagonist with a cast of zany supporting characters to move the story along. Clark brings all the sub-plots together in an exciting conclusion leaving the reader/listener looking forward to Regan’s next adventure.
