Now that professional assassin Victor is indentured to British Intelligence, he is tasked with eliminating the worst of the worst. One such man is Milan Rados, a former Serbian paramilitary commander wanted for war crimes and now head of an organized criminal network in Belgrade. He has escaped justice once already, so it’s Victor's job to take the justice to him.

Victor might be the best in the business, but with powerful friends and an entire crew to protect him, Rados is a hard man to corner and even harder to kill. To get close to his target, Victor will need more than his deadly skills. An unlikely ally can provide him with the edge he seeks, but there’s a price on Victor’s head—and a killer who won’t quit knows just how to find him....

This is a riveting thriller that keeps you on your toes until the unexpected ending.

Author Tom Wood has created a mesmerizing protagonist in Victor, a professional assassin. You know Victor is a killer for hire, but you can’t help but like this enigmatic man.

If you’re a Jason Bourne fan, you’ll love the covert situations Victor finds himself in. Wood does an excellent job placing the reader in the scene with Victor through his picturesque descriptions of the various settings.

The story flows quickly and smoothly The characters are well-developed and engaging. The story is well-balanced as you’re taken on an adrenaline-fueled ride.

The six installment in the Victor series, A TIME TO DIE can be read on its own. This exhilarating tale is action-packed and you won’t be able to put it down until you know Victor’s outcome.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Do you sometimes find yourself pulling for the so-called bad guy in a book? Do you like reading books by authors from other countries?

  1. Wonderful title.
I am sure professional assasins do exist, but what a lonely life...

  2. A disgusting book that paints Serbs as criminals and killers. Writers like him spread hatred around the world by spreading prejudices and fabrications that suit their own government. Nasty, very nasty.

  3. I do like Bourne style stories.
    I don't think that's a bad guy I could pull for.

  4. Interesting to have an assassin as the protagonist, Mason. It's hard to do that successfully, so that you feel something for the killer. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I do love thrillers, and this one sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I do find myself pulling for bad guys. Serge, in Tim Dorsey's books, is one bad guy you can't help but love (I may be crazy for it!). I do like reading books by foreign authors--love seeing views from other parts of the world.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on today's post. Thanks for dropping by.
