I think I enjoyed the 1st 5 or so Stone Barrington books. Yet there's something about them that makes me keep reading--kind of the way your tongue will seek out the hole when you lose a filling. But I get them from the library, since I wouldn't spend money on them anymore. And they're usually finished in less than a day. (If you want step by step instructions on flying an airplane, I think it's the book prior to Bel-Air Dead that spends pages and pages of what could be plot describing the details. Woods definitely likes showing off his expertise. (And, it gave me a good jumping off point for one of my recent blogs!)

Terry
Terry's Place
Romance with a Twist--of MysteryTerry Odellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11610682530545306687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6582932888892465523.post-3430206776040385442011-09-15T08:57:20.870-04:002011-09-15T08:57:20.870-04:00Start at the beginning - check!Start at the beginning - check!Alex J. I know several people, actually, who prefer them to paper books. And this one does sound like a solid read. It's interesting, isn't it, how authors change their pace at times in their series, and the novel moves a little more quickly or is a little relaxed than the usual pace of the series. I think that can make a series more interesting, actually.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
