A deadly secret can't stay buried forever . . .

Revenge. It's the only thing that will help Anya Best sleep at night. The serial killer who murdered her sister is on the loose, and Anya will stop at nothing to put him behind bars—even use herself as bait to lure him out of hiding. But she can't do this alone.
Private investigator Heath Jones's job is to bring bastards to justice. This time it's personal. He knew the Copper Killer's latest victim so when her sister asks for his help, he's all in. But when Anya uses the media to taunt the killer, she exposes Heath's identity, putting them both in jeopardy. Now, secrets buried long ago are coming to light and the forces determined to destroy him are watching Heath's every move, waiting to exact their own revenge. And they'll use anything and anyone to get to Heath.

The Top 5 Things You Don't Do If You're Trying to Catch a Serial Killer

1:  Put your schedule up on the internet.
2: Chase a guy with a knife out into a darkened alley by yourself.
3:  Go down into any dark basement anywhere.
4.  Agree to meet anybody anywhere who doesn’t seem like he’s the bad guy.
5.  Go mountain climbing with a group.  Seriously.

Thanks for stopping by today. What are your thoughts on revenge?

  1. I am endlessly amazed at how the 'good guys' in movies particularly take stupid, stupid, stupid risks.
And yes, Jamie is right. This does sound good.

  2. Good advice! And interesting point about putting your schedule on social many of us do that without thinking (at least parts of our schedule).

  3. That last one wouldn't have occurred to me. Wait, I wouldn't mountain climb anyway, so I'm safe.

  4. Those are three good pieces of advice!! And the story sounds like it packs a punch, too. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Revenge is voracious--let loose, it can devour everything in its path. Intriguing list!!!

  6. LOL - I wouldn't go in a dark basement anyway.

  7. Good list and no basements in Texas!

  8. No to basements, but I do love the title, so yes to opening the book and taking a look at the story.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on today's post. Thanks for dropping by.
