Here are the steps to this easy orange-and-black mani:

1. Paint one coat of orange 2/3 of the way up your nail. Let dry.
2. Using a striping tool (or a toothpick!) to polish on black points.
3. Polish the outline of the points with one coat of black polish.
4. Add a top coat and you’re done!

  1. Playing in the garden means that my nails never, ever look that good. And any polish would be chipped in a heart beat.

    1. EC., I'm with you. My nails always look rough and are easy to break. But there are times I think what the heck and paint them anyway. It may only last a day or two but I enjoy it while it's on them.

  2. I used to be a nail polish person. I find it chips too soon. I wish I could do these decorations, though.

    1. Medeia, I've found some throughout the years that doesn't chip quite as fast. I'm looking forward to trying some from Julep to see how it does. As for decorations, I've never been able to do that with nail polish.

    1. Dez, I agree with you. I like the orange best to. If I used the black, it would be very little and not cover up so much of the orange.

  6. now if only I would stop biting my nails. I go through cycles for years where I don't bite them, then for about a year or so I bite them to the quick :(
