Sometimes You Just Gotta!*

You know sometimes you just gotta. Doesn’t matter how hard you’re trying or how well you’ve been doing. You just gotta … have a snack.

For me, one of the hardest times to resist snacking is when I’m curled up with a good book. You know the time I’m talking about. You get lost in the story and your hand automatically reaches for a sweet treat to get you through whatever emotion is playing out in the book.

Well I have the pleasure of working with Gourmet Gifter and trying some of their tasty treats. Let me tell you, they are yummy.

The good folks at Gourmet Gifter have a special deal just for you. This special is good for only 3 days and those 3 days are Tuesday, Sept. 22, through Thursday, Sept. 24. That’s the only time this special code – THOUGHTSIP – will be good.

First, let me tell you a little bit about four of their delicious treats I received recently. Be sure to check the end of the post for more details on the special deal.

Chocolate Almond Protein Fiber Bar

Processed with VSCOcam This is a great protein bar to use on hikes or after a workout when you just need a little push. The taste is not real sweet, but it does grow on you after a couple of bites. The fiber benefits are good to help lower cholesterol and control blood sugar levels. This is one of those snacks that is healthy and good.

According to the site, the bar contains the following ingredients: IMO (Prebiotic Fiber), Pea Protein, Date Paste, Rolled Oats, Honey, Cocoa Powder (processed with alkali), Olive Oil, Raisins, Sunflower Seed, Flax Seed, Rice Crisp (Rice Flour, Water, Salt), Hemp Seed, Chia Seed, Pumpkin Seed, Natural Flavors, and Sea Salt.

Cinnamon Sugar Sensation Kettle Corn

Processed with VSCOcamI like popcorn just about any way you can fix it, but tend to go more for plain butter and salt. Having tried this Cinnamon Sugar Sensation Kettle Corn, I have a new favorite. The mix of the cinnamon and sugar with the crunchy popcorn is delicious. It’s just a slight sweetness and the cinnamon is not overpowering. The combination makes a yummy treat for snacking.

According to the site, the corn contains the following ingredients: popcorn, corn oil, sugar, and cinnamon.

Caramel Crispy Bar

Carmel CrispyThis combination of mouthwatering caramel over puffed rice is a scrumptious treat. The bar is sweet and a bit chewy, but not sticky. The puffiness of the rice practically melts in your mouth.

According to the site, the bar contains the following ingredients: caramel (corn syrup, butter, sugar, partially hydrogenated coconut oil, fructose, milk, water dextrose, mono- and di-glycerides, soy lecithin, salt, tricalcium phosphate, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid), rice, sugar, and salt.

Butter Toffee Peanuts

Butter Toffee PeanutsPeanuts are always a tasty treat, but pair them with butter toffee and oh, my! These peanuts are crunchy with a sweetness that will have you going back for more and more. These peanuts give you a sweet, salty and crunch taste all in one bite.

According to the site, the peanuts contains the following ingredients: peanuts, sugar, honey, peanut and/or cottonseed oil, corn syrup, sea salt, fructose, cornstarch, and xanthan gum.

SPECIAL DEAL JUST FOR YOU!

  1. I try not to snack while I read. And too often fail.
The special deal sounds good, but I am trying not to weaken.
