Decadent on Tour {+ Giveaway}

Decadent coverI’m thrilled to have author Adrianne Lee return to Thoughts in Progress today to celebrate the release of the fourth installment in her Big Sky Pie series, DECADENT.

Thanks to Adrianne and the lovely Julie at Grand Central Publishing, I have 2 copies of DECADENT to giveaway. Please see the end of the post for details.

As part of Adrianne’s tour, I’d like to share a brief synopsis of DECADENT, tell you a bit about the author and then share my thoughts on this fascinating book. To find out more about Adrianne’s tour, check out the blogs participating HERE.

About DECADENT:

Contractor Wade Reynolds is having a tough year. His cherry farm went bust, and his construction clients threaten to unhinge what's left of his sanity. But Wade's passion for life heats up when he's hired to remodel a new storefront next to Big Sky Pie -and he falls for the red-hot, bad girl who's setting up her catering shop there.
Fresh off her own divorce, Roxy isn't looking for another relationship, just a spontaneous fling or three. Her contractor Wade looks as delicious as her specialty confections, but he's way too buttoned-up for a casual affair. Yet there's an ultra-sexy strength about him Roxy can't resist. What that man clearly needs is something decadent—like her...

DECADENT is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and iTunes.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Adrianne Lee lives with her husband of many, many years on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington State in a pole barn building her husband transformed into an upstairs apartment with a shop below for his hot rods.

Adrianne creates her stories on her laptop, in her recliner with her adopted cat, Spooky, curled between her calves, snoozing. Over thirty years of summer vacationing in the Flat Head Lake area near Kalispell and Glacier Park has given her a love for all things Montana.

For more on Adrianne and her writing, visit her website and connect with her on Facebook and Twitter.

Now for my thoughts on this charming book.

DECADENT by Adrianne Lee

Author Adrianne Lee has a way of immersing her readers into her stories. She has accomplished that task once again with her latest release, DECADENT.

Lee has created a story so vivid readers will be transported to the charming town of Kalispell, Montana, and feel they know the town’s quirky residents like their own neighbors.

Chef Roxanne ‘Roxy’ Nash is returning to Kalispell to regroup after her divorce from Seahawks linebacker Ty Buckholtz. Roxy has lost her husband, her house, and most of all, her bistro. Not sure what’s next, Roxy returns home to get back on track before she tackles her next project.

Wade Reynolds has been a widower for four years, yet he’s not ready to find a new wife. A dark secret haunts him so that he feels guilty even dating. His life revolves around his teenage daughter and trying to get his contracting business up and going.

When Roxy and Wade almost collide on her first night back in town, sparks fly that neither are ready for. As their friends try to help, feelings and desires develop but their paths are set in different directions.

Lee does an excellent job creating realistic characters readers will adore. They are well-developed and easy for readers to relate to. The bantering and sexual tension between Roxy and Wade is heart-pounding. The mix of humor and steamy romance will leave you breathless.

The setting is a small town with a family-friendly atmosphere. Lee’s rich descriptions and eye for detail will have you smelling delicious aromas from the pie shop as you feel the cold Montana wind blow across your face.

DECADENT is a tantalizing romance filled with laughter, dreams and warm-your-heart goodness. From the opening paragraph to the last sentence, you’ll be captivated by this delightful (and yummy) story. Lee includes a Decadent Chocolate Meringue Pie recipe as an extra bonus.

    1. I haven't worked in a food place either, Charlotte, except for my own kitchen. I can't bake pies as well as my characters, though I really wish I could stop into Molly McCoy's Big Sky Pie and indulge my love of pie.

    1. Glenda, I think you have to love to cook to be a chef or pastry chef, don't you. You can tell the ones who are passionate about what they do.
