Everyday Confetti by Karen Ehman and Glynnis Whitwer

If you love celebrating special occasions or wished you were a better party planner, EVERYDAY CONFETTI: Your Year-Round Guide to Celebrating Holidays and Special Occasions is the book for you.

9780800722012This charming book offers party planning ideas for year-round celebrations. It covers the traditional holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day and others. But it also highlights unique holidays, special days and events that can be turned into celebrations. Among the non-traditional celebrations are Backwards Day (Jan. 31), Tell a Story Day (April 27) and Book Lover’s Day (Aug. 9) to name a few.

There’s even a Name Day where you can celebrate your birthday a second time. According to an old European tradition, names are assigned to each day of the year. Discover the date of your name and celebrate a second birthday.

Another fun way to celebrate is to create a ‘family honor plate.’ It’s a special plate (of your design) that can only be used by the family member who makes an achievement, does an act of kindness or whatever accomplishment you decide.

With each celebration there are activity suggestions and numerous easy recipes. Each occasion gives hints, along with personal accounts of how they celebrated the special day. The book is written in an easy format with the holidays separated into seasons for year-round entertainment.

Authors Karen Ehman and Glynnis Whitwer have complied a vast array of activities and recipes that will make celebrating any occasion fun and stress-free. This faith-based book will fast become a favorite in your household and have you celebrating more throughout the year. There are over 200 ideas to inspire celebrations and create memories with your family.

EVERYDAY CONFETTI is the go-to book to make daily life a celebration.

  1. Mason - I really like the title of that book. There's pretty much a reason to celebrate nearly every day and it's good to remember that. And I didn't even know there was such a thing as Backwards Day. Interesting! Thanks for sharing.
