National Book Lovers Day

Does today feel any different to you? Maybe it should.book_shelf

Today, August 9, is National Book Lovers Day, a time to celebrate all things books. For those of us roaming around blogdom, that’s a very good thing.

As you celebrate this special day, try something a little different with your reading. Take a chance on a book that is out of the genre you normally read, select a book on impulse rather than on reading the blur or a review, and if you’ve never listened to an audio book – give a try, you never know you might find a new way to enjoy books.

What are you reading today? What book would you like to read that you don’t have in your TBR stack? Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Thanks for publicizing the day, although I love books 365/24/7. I'm reading a thriller anthology edited by Lee Child (First Thrills) and a time travel romance, (A Moment in Time) by Deb Stover, and a mystery for book club, Silver Lies by Ann Parker. On my NOOK, I'm reading Through a Dark Mist by Marsha Canham.

  2. Mason - I'm with Terry; I'm a book lover no matter what day it is :-). I've just been reminded of the work of Brazilian author Patricia Melo. So I'm sque-ezing some of her writing into my TBR.
