Short and Sweet

This post will be short and hopefully sweet. The recent change in our weather and my head are not being compatible so for that reason my thinking is off more so than ususal.

Before I continue, I have a question for you my fellow bloggers - Is there a way to write a post and schedule when it is posted on your blog? If there is that would be so helpful at times.

Okay, here's my message today. With the coming holiday season I was thinking of the various words that could come from Christmas. Trying not to use any of the same words I used with Thanksgiving these are the traits I came up with:

C - Compassionate
H - Harmonious
R - Respective
I - Inviting
S - Sociable
T - Tactual
M - Merciful
A - Atoning
S - Sentimental

What words do you come up with? What if we added MERRY to this, what would you think of?

There are a couple of new sites that I have visited I want to share with you, as well as tell you about an award fellow blogger Michele from http://southerncitymysteries.blogspot.com graciously gave me yesterday. Hopefully, my brain and fingers will be working together better tomorrow. Have a wonderful and enjoy life.

  1. Mason - I wish I did know of a way to schedule a post for a certain day or time; I don't. If I find out about one, I'll share it. In the meantime, that's a clever acronym : ). Hope you feel better soon!

  2. Thanks Margo. Weather-related headaches are something else.

As for the posting, with all the technology that is out there in the vast universe, there has to be a way to schedule a post. Maybe we'll find one.
Thanks again, hope you have a great day.

    M - Mirth
    E - Eggnog
    R - Richness
    R - Ribbons
    Y - Yuletide

  4. Carol, I'll keep looking. There has to be some way to do it.

I love what you did with MERRY. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Hello! This is the way I post mine during the night or when I'm not home. Is that what you mean?

    1. Open your blog
    2. Go to your tool bar at top, and click on New Post.
    3. Do you see the white space where you type your post?
    4. Right below that, it says "Post Options"
    5. Click on that link
    6. Bottom right you will see "Post Date and Time"
    7. Post -the Date (exactly like they have it)
    8. Post -the time like they have it.
    9. Now this part is scarey and I had it go wrong once(because I had the date wrong).
    10. Click "Publish Post"
    11. Then it should take you to your edit posts page and should tell you it is scheduled for ....
12...If it happens to post right then.
    13. Just take a breath.
    14. Open that post with the edit button and be sure you have the date and time correct -and post again.
    15. If that fails then highlight words, right click, copy it, open a "New Post" paste it.
    16. Save that one and delete the one you just posted. This will make it revert back to the prior post.
    17. You will have to insert your photos again.

Email me if it you would like instructions that are not scrunched in this box.

  6. JW, you are a gem. That is what I was looking for.

Now I'll just have to take time to write this down and try it. Thanks so much for your help. I'll try it Friday night and let you know how it works for me.

    Thanks again for sharing.

  7. I do the same thing Journaling Woman does and have much success. On occasion, it doesn't work, but if you visit the Edit Post screen, you can tell if it's scheduled.

  8. Thanks Linda, I knew there were people out there that could solve this problem for me. Just goes to show, networking does work.

  9. That post option box to pre-schedule date and time is working fine these days (at least until the next time Blogger hiccups). Very useful tool.

  10. All of this is so new to me. I hadn't even taken the time to look at the post options button. Don't know where my head was (or is for that matter) most of the time.

I next challenge is to find out how people display buttons with the code under them. Always something new to explore, I guess.
